Choose what appears first
Should the viewer notice a startled face, a small light, or the scale of a place? Composition depends on that decision. The golden-gate scene at the end of AMATO episode four provides the example.
Points, lines, and frames
A CGWORLD article by Yui Kurita, shared after episode four was released as a future reference, describes visual attention through salient points, leading lines, and framing. Against the dark sky, golden gates and a distant light stand out. The repeated gates lead toward a small figure and frame it with posts and crossbeams.
Separate scenery from reaction
A wide shot can emphasize the depth of the gates and a person’s scale; a closer shot can prioritize the person’s reaction. Decide which matters first. The later CGWORLD reading is an analysis for future work, not evidence that it guided the original episode cut.
