Check the whole frame
In a still made for these notes, AMATO stands on a veranda with a waterway and bridge to the right. His full body and sandals fit in frame, so the image tells us where he stands as well as what he looks like.
Three things to compare
Look at his position relative to the railing and water. Compare the red kimono, black robe and sash, and wooden sandals with the official character sheet. Then examine the wide, high camera angle.
Choose a priority
Showing the waterway and bridge explains the location, but makes the face smaller. Decide whether your shot should communicate an expression or a place first.
